CABNEI – First educational intervention

The first educational intervention in the Erasmus+ capacity building program for nurse educators in Indonesia was conducted via Zoom between May 31 to June 4, 2021.

The education focused on nursing theories and core competencies in nursing. A number of 36 nurse educators from Akademi Keperawatan Ibnu Sina Kota Sabang, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Universitas Muhammadiyah Aceh, Jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh participated in the education. The lecturers used different didactical teaching approaches when presenting their subjects. The work package leader Associate Professor Randi Martinsen at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences was very pleased with the engagement and interest among the participants “I thought that the time difference would be challenging, but this worked well as the Indonesian participant had tasks to prepare prior to the lectures. We are however really looking forward to meeting in real life. I was very glad over the positive evaluation, that the participants had increased their knowledge in the areas that were taught.” The Indonesian nurse educators will now continue to work with local reflective workshops focusing on curriculum development in August.
