WP 2 Development

WP 2 - Development: The second WP includes development of nurse educators’ core competencies in nursing philosophy and theory, educational philosophy and views of learning and teaching, and quality development concerning the areas of management of the nursing profession and nursing role.

Development of nurse educators core competencies in nursing philosophy and theory (WP 2.1)

Indicators of achievements:

-Increased competence in basic theory and philosophy, core competencies in nursing, ethical challenges, transcultural nursing and health promotion.

Program:

WP 2.1.1 What is nursing? Basic theory and philosophy in nursing.

WP 2.1.2 Core competencies in Nursing.

WP 2.1.3 Reflective practice in local workshops. 

WP 2.1.4 Ethical knowledge in nursing education and practice. 

WP 2.1.5 Reflective practice in local workshops. 

WP 2.1.6 Knowledge based nursing and patient safety.

Educational philosophy and views of learning and teaching (WP 2.2)

Indicators of achievements:

-Increased competence regarding socio-cultural views of learning including cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills.

-Increased competence in teaching methods and in systematic use of student’s evaluations for quality work.

-Increased competence in active learning such as problem-based learning and project-based learning.

- Increased competence in learning, teaching and supervision in clinical nursing

-Increased skills in critical thinking, producing and presenting reports.

-Increased competence in presenting project reports in international conference
